AquaFix Square High Flow Shower Waste - Tileable

Please note: The Aquafix Square High Flow Waste is for use with Aquafix Wetroom 30mm thick showertrays only.
It is not compatible with the Aquafix ""Low Profile"", non-Aquafix or self-designed wetroom formers.

This shower gully is specially designed for use with all sizes of the AquaFix wet room shower trays which have square drains. It is adjustable in height according to tile thickness, and is manufactured to fit UK standard plumbing pipework. All AquaFix drains come with removable hair traps for ease of cleaning.

VERY IMPORTANT INSTALLATION INFORMATION:

The shower gully comes with a tileable drain cover which can be used where the tile being used on the actual shower tray is a MINIMUM of 13mm including adhesive. The section for the tileable drain cover allows for a MAXIMUM of 12mm including adhesive.

EXAMPLE 1: 10mm thick mosaic tile can be fitted with 3mm or more of adhesive underneath to stick them to the shower tray. The middle of the drain has be fitted with the same 10mm mosaic tile with only 2 mm of adhesive. A thinner tile of 8mm would require additional adhesive around the outside to bring it up to 13mm, as well as extra adhesive under the middle to achieve 12mm.

EXAMPLE 2: 15mm thick tiles would be fine installed with adhesive under them on the shower tray because the drain height is adjustable to allow for thicker tiles. BUT a different tile would have to be used for the drain insert to keep the adhesive plus tile no more than 12mm. A complimentary mosaic or even a contrasting tile insert are good design ideas which would help achieve this.
