Precision Edge Masking Tape makes achieving razor paint sharp lines simple, protecting surfaces quickly and easily and preventing unwanted paint marks, flicks and splashes. It's made using Japanese rice paper that has long, strong fibres that give excellent barrier properties and eliminate paint bleed for the crispest of edges, whilst being easy to tear, enabling quick and convenient coverage of both long and short runs. The paper is coated with a high tech adhesive that gives even application when put down and smooth release when peeled, leaving no residue

Ideal for bare and previously painted surfaces where the paint has fully cured (more than 28 days).

Masking tape application guidelines

• Follow these simple guidelines to get the best results with masking tape:
• Always try a small, unobtrusive area first to check compatibility with the surface - it will save potential time and hassle later
• For delicate or newly painted surfaces (less than 28 days) use a Low Tack grade to avoid surface damage when peeling
• For hot spots such as conservatories, south facing windows, etc. use a UV Resistant grade to prevent excessive adhesion caused by heat
• Apply the tape with even but not excessive pressure - the tape will do its job and you'll find it easier to remove without the risk of over-adhesion
• If possible, remove the tape before the paint dries - this prevents any paint skin forming over the join between the tape and the painted surface
• Some wallpapers such as painted or highly patterned papers may not be suitable for masking tape - always test first and don't use excessive pressure
