Dura Original™ consists of a three layer polypropylene construction that ensures a secure foundation for a safe and stress-free tile installation. The middle core layer is a dimpled sheet, with a wide cloverleaf design, that ensures optimal adhesive contact with the tiled base. The non woven fleece layer is laminated on the underside, guaranteeing excellent substrate adhesion. Finally, the secure thermo bonded green and white mesh layer, simplifies distribution, improves adhesion and reduces the consumption of tile adhesive to only 1.2 l/m2.
Dura Original™ Decoupling & Sealing System
By installing Dura Original™ matting, stresses, vibration, shear forces and component movements are absorbed and not transferred to the surface covering, leaving the tile and the grout free of damage. This shear force protection allows safe install of new tiles on old cracked tiles and substrates.
Moisture protection from fresh screed
The non-woven fleece backing absorbs movements caused by the drying of a wet screed or temperature changes in underfloor heating systems. Dura Original™ also functions
as a vapour pressure equalisation layer in case of dampness.
Waterproof protective seal
When used with sealing accessories**, Dura Original™ provides a waterproofing seal in wet areas. Ideal for areas that are particularly susceptible to moisture.
